The South Salem Fire Department recently held another successful carnival and fireman's parade this summer. The weather was good which helped boost attendance to near record levels.

On Wednesday, the annual Fireman's Parade was held with trophies given out to the best apparatus and other categories. As in previous years, the Westchester County Parade Judges Association helped judge the parade participants. The following is a list of trophies and those participants who won.

8. Second Best Non Regulation - In State - Croton Falls FD
9. Second Best Regulation - Bedford FD
10. Best Pumper - Out of State - Noroton FD
11. Best Pumper - In State - Montrose FD
12. Best Tanker - Mill Plain FD
