Have you ever wondered what happens when you hear the fire siren?

Have you ever wanted to ride in a fire engine?

Do you want to meet new people and help your neighbors?

The South Salem Fire Department is always looking for motivated individuals to help serve the community. The South Salem Fire Department is a 100% VOLUNTEER organization made up of the people who live in your community.

Qualifications for Membership:

1)  At least 18 years of age or at least 16 years of age to become a Junior Member.

2)  Reside within the South Salem Fire District or are able to render active service on a regular basis to the District.

(pursuant to NYS Town Law 176B)

3)  Able to meet those physical requirements as outlined in policies.

If you are interested in joining, please stop by the firehouse any Monday night at 7pm.
