At 3:48pm SSFD along with Lewisboro VAC and a WEMS Medic were dispatched to State Route 35 in the area of Route 121 in Cross River for a multi vehicle MVA involving a bus. On scene, a bus transporting eight disabled adults was found to have struck a tree head on after first colliding with another vehicle. Route 35 was shut down for a short period of time while multiple agencies worked to extricate and transport the patients from the bus. Three other persons involved declined medical assistance.
